108 Mala; 48 cm long made out of Rose Quartz, Tourmaline, Amethyst and Fossil beads (6mm diameter). Each bead is separated by a handmade knot, ending with a guru bead and a handmade cotton tassel.
In traditional Tibetan Buddhism, mala's are often created using 108 beads, as a 108-bead mantra repetition represents the 108 worldly sins in the Buddhist doctrine. In addition, the number 108 is considered to be sacred in Eastern religions, representing the universe as one thing (1), nothing (0) and everything (8, or infinity).
Rose Quartz is believed to open the Heart Chakra to all forms of love and is believed to remove fears, resentment, and jealousy. It also raises self-esteem and balances emotions.
Tourmaline is a powerful detoxification stone that invites positive energy, and is thought to help balance the energies of the body.
Amethyst is considered sacred to Buddha, possibly due to its ability to activate and balance the 6th chakra (third eye). It is often associated with strong cleansing and healing power to cultivate emotional tranquillity.
Fossilised beads (Coral/Shell) are known to facilitate intuition, imagination, visualization, bravery and wisdom. It can also improve mental concentration and perception, and can be used to attract success.
Tassels on a mala symbolically represents our enlightenment, consciousness and/or, our connection to the Divine and to each other.
